Jackson JS Series Concert Bass Minion JS1X – Satin Black
The Jackson JS Series Concert Bass Minion JS1X – Satin Black delivers Jackson styling and powerful bass tone in a compact short-scale format. Its smaller dimensions make it particularly approachable for younger players, beginners, and bassists who prefer a shorter neck, while its full 4-string configuration maintains familiar bass functionality.
The bass features a lightweight, comfort-contoured poplar body paired with a 1-piece maple bolt-on Speed Neck. The amaranth fingerboard has a 12-inch radius and 22 jumbo frets, providing a comfortable playing surface with plenty of room for expressive playing.
Jackson equips the JS1X with P/J-style passive pickups, providing a strong fundamental tone and aggressive growl. Separate bridge and neck volume controls and a master tone control provide straightforward tonal adjustment without unnecessary complexity.
The 28.6-inch scale length makes this bass noticeably more compact than a traditional full-scale bass. The Satin Black finish, shark-fin fingerboard inlays, and Jackson tilt-back headstock give the instrument its distinctive Jackson appearance.
